dc.description.abstractThis study aims to find out how the self-esteem condition of Toba Batak women is described based on the sinamot received. Sinamot plays an important role because it is a form of appreciation for women. The description of self-esteem will be seen through aspects of self-esteem and characteristics of self-esteem. This study uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological research type. The data collection method used in this study was interviews with 2 Toba Batak women who received high and low sinamot as research subjects. The results of this study indicate that there are similarities as well as differences regarding power, significance, virtue and competence between the two subjects. Subjects who received a higher number of sinamot tended to show higher self-esteem characteristic.en_US
