Kawa-kawa (Euthynnus affinis) is a type of large pelagic fish that is in demand by local and foreign people. Kawa-kawa (E. affinis) is one of the fish caught using boats Purse seine has different fishing times depending on the size of the Purse Seine vessel. Therefore, there is potential for a decrease in the quality of the fish caught due to the length of time fishing at sea. The aim of this research is to determine the physical, chemical and microbiological quality of kawa-kawa (E. affinis) landed from purse seine vessels at the Belawan Ocean Fishing Port with different trip times and gt. This research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) model. The results of the research showed that the highest average value was in B1 (8 days) with values of 8.38, 8.30, 7.34, and 8.29, while in B2 (14 days) with values of 8.32, 7.64, 7 .13, and 7.56. Histamine content based on the length of the trip in B1 (8 days) is 21.83 mg/kg and B2 (14 days) is 29.81 mg/kg and the TPC value based on the length of the trip in B1 (8 days) is 2.5218 x 104 col/ g and in B2 (14 days) namely 2.7815 x 104 col/g. while for the average value in A1 (<30 GT) with values 8.34, 8.28, 7.90, and 8.24 and treatment A2 (>30 GT) with values 8.35, 8.32, 7 .66, and 8.20. Histamine content based on GT in treatment A1 (<30 GT) is 7.30 mg/kg and in treatment A2 (>30 GT) is 8.79 mg/kg and the TPC value based on GT size in treatment A1 (<30 GT) is 2.5034 x 104 col/g and in treatment A2 (>30 GT) it was 2.6334 x 104 col/g. shows that the larger the ship's gt and the longer the fishing trip, the effect on the decline in the quality of Kawa-kawa (E. affinis).
