Gambaran Sikap terhadap Plagiarisme pada Mahasiswa Universitas Sumatera Utara

Abstract

This study aims to describe attitudes towards plagiarism in students at the University of North Sumatra. Plagiarism is the act of using someone else's idea without changing and including the origin of the idea. The research method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. There were 486 students who were the subjects of this study. The subject is determined using non-probability sampling with purposive sampling technique. The scale used is the attitude scale towards plagiarism which was compiled by researchers based on the attitude components by Azwar (2022), namely cognitive, affective and conative. Descriptive analysis results mean is 50 and the standard deviation is 10. The subject's maximum score is 96.597 and the minimum score is 30.403. The results showed that there were 211 (43.4%) students who had a positive attitude towards plagiarism and 275 (56.6%) students who had a negative attitude towards plagiarism.
