This study aims to identify whether there is a negative relationship between Peer Attachment and Social Media Addiction in adolescents. This study involved 403 respondents ( X ̅ =15.8 years old, SD = 0.83). This study used a quantitative corelatinal method and data were collected using a Likert scale, namely the Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment by Armsden & Greenberg (1987). This instrument consisted of 25 items. It also used the Bergen Facebook Addiction Scale developed by Andreassen (2012) which has been adaptation into the Social Media Addiction Scale consisting of 18 items. Data were processed using the Pearson Product Moment correlation analysis technique. The results of the analysis obtained a correlation coefficient (r) of -.336 with a p- value of .001 (p <0.05). This means that there is a negative relationship between peer attachment and social media addiction in adolescents.en_US
