dc.description.abstract | The title of this research is “Organizational Communication Network in Achieving
Operating Goals in CarbonEthics Social Enterprise”. The aim of this research is to
determine the organizational communication process, communication networks, and
communication barriers in CarbonEthics. This research used the descriptive qualitative
methods. The theories used include Organizational Communication, Communicaiton
Networks, Computer-Mediated Communication (CMC), and Organization Theory. The
data collection methods involve in-depth interviews and active particpant observations.
Informants were selected using purposive selection technique on 56 CarbonEthics
members to yield 6 key informants and 2 additional informants. The data analysis method
is based on Miles and Huberman’s model, consisting of data condensation, data display,
and conclusing-drawing. According to the research findings, communication processes at
CarbonEthics are well-organized and structured yet flexible depending on needs and
circumstances. The organization communication networks formed in CarbonEthics include
the chain, the all-channel, and the wheel. Communication barriers in CarbonEthics include
disruptions arising from online comunication, chain communication network,
communication apprehension, a form of filtering, lack of sharpness/effectiveness in
communicating, pressure, inactive/unresponsive members, and unclear SOP. | en_US |
