Peran Corporate Social Responsibility dalam Meningkatkan Kesejahteraan Masyarakat Lokal Studi Kasus : PT Chareon Pokphand Indonesia Tbk di Kecamatan Pegajahan, Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai

Abstract

This research with the title “The Role of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in Improving the welfare of lcal communities” Case Study : PT Chareon Pokphand Indonesia in Pegajahan District, Serdang Bedagai Regency aims to describe the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) programs conducted by PT Chaeron Pokphand Indonesia Tbk in Pegajahan District under the name of Karya Semangat Mandiri unit. The method used in this research is descriptive-qualitative by conducting in-depth interviews for data collection to 7 informants. The results of this study show that there are 6 CSR programs provided by the company which are divided into 3 fields, namely economy, education, and health. The six programs are recruitment and assistance of local labor, scholarships and training, health nutrition and environmental hygiene. Data analysis is based on the law on CSR and CSR success indicators. This study expects further research related to CSR programs needed by the community from a company that stands in their respective regions.
