Pengaruh Pemberian Air Rebusan Tanaman Serai dan Kecombrang sebagai Fitobiotik melalui Air Minum terhadap Performa Ayam Broiler
The Effect of Giving Lemongass and Kecombrang Plant Decoction Water as Phytobiotics Through Drinking Water on the Performance of Broiler Chickens
Abstract
The utilization of bioactive compounds from plants as phytobiotics continues, with the aim of optimizing the compounds contained in plants to produce good performance and can replace antibiotics that have been banned from use in feed. This study aims to determine the effect of giving lemongass and kecombrang plant decoction water as phytobiotics through drinking water on broiler performance. The research was conducted in the Animal Husbandry Study Progam cage from March to April 2023 using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 replicates. The treatments consisted of P0 as control (without the addition of lemongass and kecombrang decoction water), P1 (drinking water with the addition of lemongass decoction water 25% of the daily needs of livestock), P2 (drinking water with the addition of kecombrang decoction water 25% of the daily needs of livestock) and P3 (drinking water with the addition of lemongass and kecombrang decoction water 25% of the daily needs of livestock). Parameters observed were feed consumption, body weight gain and feed conversion. The results showed that the addition of lemongrass and kecombrang decoction water did not give a significantly different effect (P>0.05) on feed consumption with an average of 81.79-83.59 g/head/day, body weight gain with an average of 50.29-51.99 g/head/day and feed conversion of broiler chickens with an average of 1.594-1.665.
