    Abstract
Kasgot is the decomposition residue of black soldier fly maggots which has the potential to be used as an alternative to solid organic fertilizer, but filtering of the cassava is required before being used as organic fertilizer to separate organic waste that has completely decomposed from that which has not completely decomposed. The aims of this study to determine the effect of providing cashgot as a solid organic fertilizer on the productivity of Brachiaria decumbens grass. This study was conducted at the Kedai Durian Village, Deli Tua District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra for 4 months. The design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 replications. Treatment consists of P0 = control; P1 = 5 kg ultisol soil + 30 grams of kasgot/polybag; P2 = 5 kg ultisol soil + 60 grams of kasgot/polybag; P3 = 5 kg ultisol soil + 90 grams of kasgot/polybag. The variables observed were plant height, leaf length, number of tillers, fresh production and dry matter production. The results showed that the use of kasgot as an alternative to solid organic fertilizer had a very significant (P<0.01) effect on plant height, with average 15.87-22.79 cm, number of tillers with average 4.45-8.30 tillers. , fresh production with average 5.18-36.64 grams/polybag and dry material production with average 0.92-7.87 grams/polybag, but did not have a significant (P>0.05) effect on the length of Brachiaria decumbens grass leaves. The conclusion of this study is that providing kasgot as an alternative to solid organic fertilizer can increase the productivity of Brachiaria decumbens grass with the best dosage being 5 kg ultisol soil + 90 grams of kasgot/polybag.
