Santri is a term for students who live in dorms or huts in pesantren. In addition to having an obligation to study and explore religious knowledge, santri are also required to master general knowledge like students in regular schools. The combination of the general education system and traditional pesantren education, the same routine during the educational period, the strict rules that are imposed and must be obeyed make boarding school students live in discipline. Compared to school students generally, the students' routine and educational system is special. The purpose of this study is to describe the subjective well-being of Madrasah Aliyah Qur'an Kisaran students. This study is a population study with 77 subjects. The measuring instrument used in this study is the Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) made by Diener et al (1985) and the Positive and Negative Affect Scale (PANAS) of Watson et al (1988). The results showed that subjective well-being among santri at Madrasah Aliyah Qur'an Kisaran moslty was in the high category. A person with high subjective well-being is frequently joyful, rarely goes through negative emotions like sadness or anger, and experiencing life satisfaction.
