Stunting is anutritionalproblem which is described as acondition ofchronicmalnutrition during aperiod of growth anddevelopment from the beginningof lifecausedby multi-dimensional factors,so that multi-sectoral interventionsmustbecarried out, especially pharmacists from the health sector. Theaimsof thisstudywas to determinethelevelof knowledgeand perceptions related tostuntingand the effect of pharmacist interventions on anemic pregnant women.
This research was conducted in two stages, the first was apre-experimentaltype of research by designing onegrouppretest posttest usingapurposive samplingtechnique with 124 respondent pharmacies in Pandeglang Regency then continuedwith the second stageusing aquasi-experimental method with acohort-prospectivestudydesign. and afterintervention on 374 anemicpregnant womenwho receivedblood supplement therapy in October2022-January 2023. Therequired data wasaccessed usingavalidated questionnaire. Data wereanalyzed qualitatively andquantitatively usingthe Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test with SPSSversion 21software.
Theresults ofthe studyshowed that pharmacists had astrongperception ofbeing involved in stunting reduction activities and therewas an increasein thenumberof pharmacists who had good knowledgeregarding stunting by (100)%after the workshop (p<0,1), therewas an increasein compliancewith TTDuse(99,47%) and therewas asignificant reduction in the numberof anemiain pregnant women (91,8%) (p<0,1),thus pharmacistintervention in pregnant women madeapositive contribution to efforts to reduce stunting.
