In this research, the synthesis of magnetite nanofluid was conducted as a suspension for coating copper using the Electrophoretic deposition method with voltage variations of 15, 20, 25, and 30 volts. The variations included copper-copper and graphite-copper electrode combinations, as well as nanofluid pH levels of 2.9 and 11. The magnetite layer on copper was analyzed to assess its potential for coating the inner surface of a heat pipe for use as a wick structure. The deposited magnetite layer was analyzed for the mass of deposited particles and thickness using Optical Microscopy and contact angle testing. The performance of the internally coated heat pipe was evaluated using two heat pipes coated with nanofluid of pH 2.9 and 11, with a heat input of 5 W and water as the working fluid in a horizontal direction. The analysis of the magnetite layer revealed that the deposited magnetite layer using a voltage of 25 volts and pH 11 exhibited the most hydrophilic characteristics, which could enhance capillary movement and fluid circulation in the heat pipe. The performance test of the heat pipeshowed effective thermal conductivity for the magnetite-coated heat pipewith a basic pH (657 W/moC).
