We have designed a solar tracker system employing a DC motor, RTC (Real-Time Clock), and data logger. This system operates in real-time to record data and uses an ATMega 328 microcontroller as its core. The primary objective of this system is to address the constant movement of the sun and enhance the energy efficiency derived from the solar panel. To calculate efficiency, it's crucial to factor in the energy consumed by the DC motor. The system achieves this by adjusting the vertical position of the solar panel with the assistance of the DC motor. The motor moves the panel by 15 degrees every hour, while data is recorded at 15-second intervals using PLX DAQ. In our research based on a 40Wp solar panel, we obtained 297.55 Wh of energy with a solar tracker efficiency of 84.04%. The energy consumption by the controller amounted to 28.61 Wh, resulting in a net energy gain of 268.94 Wh
