Hubungan Gratitude dengan Kesejahteraan Psikologis Ibu Bersuku Batak yang Memiliki Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus

Abstract

This research is a correlational research that aims to find out the relationship between gratitude and the psychological well-being of Batak mothers who have children with special needs. The research hypothesis is that there is a significant positive relationship between gratitude and psychological well-being in mothers who have children with special needs. The population of this study is a Batak mother who has children with special needs. The research sample totalled 70 Batak mothers who had children with special needs. The sampling technique used is convenience sampling. The data obtained in this study was processed with Pearson Product Moment analysis. The measuring instruments used are the psychological well-being scale and the gratitude scale. The results showed that there is a significant positive influence between gratitude and psychological well-being. The hypothesis test results show the correlation coefficient (r)= 0.821 with sig.0.000 (p<0.05). The results of this study indicate that the higher the gratitude in individuals, the higher the level of psychological well-being.
