The Influence of Emotional Intelligence on Organizational Citizenship Behavior in The Nurses of TK II 01.05.01 Putri Hijau Hospital Medan
Abstract
The present study is quantitative one aimed at analyzing the influence of emotional intelligence on Organizational Citizenship Behavior. The research population was all nurses at TK II Hospital 01.05.01 Putri Hijau Medan, totaling 140 people. The sample was determined using the total sampling method so that there were 140 research samples. The data collection instrument uses a questionnaire and data analysis uses simple linear regression analysis.The research results show that emotional intelligence has a significant positive influence on the dependent variable Y (organizational citizenship behavior). In other words, the better the emotional intelligence, the higher the chances of organizational citizenship Behavior. This means that the magnitude of the influence of emotional intelligence on organizational citizenship behavior is 63.2%, TK II Putri Hijau Hospital Medan is advised to pay more attention to aspects that can improve organizational citizenship behavior such as emotional intelligence, by holding regular workshops or seminars to educate nurses about the importance of good emotional intelligence in the workplace.
