This research examines the extent of community involvement in the establishment of a tourism village in Denai Lama Village, Pantai Labu Sub-district, Deli Serdang Regency. This study used quantitative research methodology and factor analysis to analyze the data. The research sample consisted of a total of 85 people, which included pokdarwis administrators, traders from Pasar Kamu, and traders from Paloh Naga. Meanwhile, the sample size consisted of 70 people. Findings from the hypothesis analysis show that factors such as manipulation, therapy, information, placation, partnership, and citizen control have a role in community participation in tourism village development. However, the factors of consultation and delegated power do not have a big impact on community participation. In addition, there are supporting and inhibiting factors that play a role in community involvement in the formation of tourist villages. The existence of several supporting factors can contribute to the active involvement of the community, namely the availability of opportunities, the willingness of individuals to get involved, and their capacity to participate effectively. Conversely, there are inhibiting factors that include individual and demographic characteristics, such as age, gender, and education level. The findings of this study underscore the importance of government and institutional assistance and involvement in engaging communities in decision-making and the implementation of tourism village development initiatives. The active involvement of the government plays an important role in enhancing community involvement in the development of tourism villages. Community involvement in tourism village development depends on many aspects, including opportunity, willingness, capacity, community autonomy, and active participation. The government and related institutions have an important role in facilitating community involvement. In the specific context of Denai Lama Village, various factors that hinder community participation in the establishment of a tourism village include human characteristics and demographic considerations. By understanding this concept, efforts can be made to increase community involvement in the development of tourism villages.en_US
