dc.description.abstract | Bivalves are a class in the phylum molluscs that includes all types of shellfish that have a pair of shells. Research has been carried out with the title "Diversity of Shellfish (Bivalves) in the Waters of Bunga Beach, Batu Bara Regency, North Sumatra". This research was carried out using the Purpose Sampling method, namely determining 3 research stations based on differences in community activities taking place in the area. Sampling was taken with 9 repetitions at each research station. The aim of this research is to look at the abundance, frequency of presence, diversity index, uniformity index, dominance index, and determine the physico-chemical quality of the waters in the bivalve habitat at Bunga Beach, Batu Bara Regency. Based on the research results obtained, 4 orders of bivalves belonging to 4 families and 6 genera have been found. The diversity index value ranges from 1.00-1.33 which includes moderate diversity. The uniformity index ranges from 0.55-0.74, the highest is at station 3. The dominance index ranges from 0.27-0.48, the highest is at station 1 and the lowest is at station 3. The results of the correlation analysis show that humidity, light intensity, and temperature are very strongly correlated and DO is strongly correlated with bivalve diversity. | en_US |
