dc.description.abstractWork discipline is a person's awareness and willingness to comply with company regulations and applicable norms. The purpose of this research is to determine the role of work discipline in improving employee performance at Perusahaan Umum Daerah Pasar Kota Medan. This research uses qualitative research methods, namely interviews. The results of the research show that there are still violations of discipline in the work discipline of Perusahaan Umum Daerah Pasar Kota Medan employees, regarding punctuality there are still employees who do not arrive on time, take breaks that are too long and procrastinate work. Perusahaan Umum Daerah Pasar Kota Medan's performance is considered good, although it is not without several shortcomings, but these have not had a fatal impact on the companyen_US
