ABSTRACT
The inequalityof regionis a commonaspect in activity regional economies. This research to measure the level of regional inequality, the relationship of Economic Growth, Poverty, Human Development Index with Inequality, and analyze convergence at West Coast and East Coast Region of North Sumatra Province. This researchis use figuring Williamson Indexto measure the inequality, Panel Data Analysis, and Analysis of Sigma Convergence and Beta Convergence. The result of this research is The West Coast Region indicated the level of inequalityis low and The East Coas tRegion indicated the level of inequality is high.Economic Growth has an insignificant positive effect on Inequality of West Coast Region and has a significant positive effect on Inequality of East Coas tRegion. Poverty has a significant positive effecton Inequality of West Coast and East Coast Regions.Human Development Index has a signifiant positive effect on Inequality of West Coast and East Coast Regions. Economic Growth, Poverty, and Human Development Index at the same time have a significant effect on Inequality of West Coast and East Coast Regions. Sigma Convergence did not happen on West Coast Region but it happened to East Coast Region. Beta Convergence is happen on West Coast and East Coast Regions.
