dc.description.abstract | This study aims to examine the influence of engaging leadership on psychological well-being of employees. Psychological well-being is the full achievement of a person's psychological potential and a state when an individual can accept one's strengths and weaknesses as they are, have a purpose in life, develop positive relationship with other people, become an independent person, able to control the environment, and continue to grow as a person. If someone has low psychological well-being, it can cause a person’s stress level to increase. So, engaging leadership is needed to increase the psychological well-being of employees. Engaging leadership is a leadership behavior that can satisfy psychological needs of employees, by strengthening, connecting, empowering and inspiring employees.
This research is done by including 70 employees of one of privately-owned company. The data collection method that used in this research is accidental sampling. Engaging leadership is measured by using Engaging leadership Scale by Schaufeli (2015), and psychological well-being is measured by using Psychological well-being scale by Ryff (2010). The research’s results was being analyzed by using simple linear regression with SPSS. The research’s results showed that there are 23,4% positive impact that caused by engaging leadership towards the psychological well-being of the employees. | en_US |
