dc.description.abstractStudent engagement behavior among students is influenced by many things, both individual and environmental factors, one of the individual factors is that students must have self-efficacy. This research aims to examine the role of self-efficacy on student engagement in Mumtaza Islamic boarding school students. The method used is a quantitative method with data collection methods using a Likert scale, namely the self-efficacy scale and student engagement scale with a research sample of 168 people. The data analysis used is a simple linear regression method. The results of this study show a value of p = .000 (p < .05) and a correlation coefficient (r) of .778. The results show that there is a role of self-efficacy in the student engagement of Mumtaza Islamic boarding school students. Self-efficacy contributed 62.3% to increasing student engagement. These results show that the higher the self-efficacy, the higher the student engagement of Mumtaza Islamic boarding school students.en_US
