dc.description.abstract | This research aims to describe the attitude towards ChatGPT among students of the University of North Sumatra. Attitude is a mental mechanism that ignites, shapes views, colors feelings, and helps determine a person's behavioral tendencies towards something. ChatGPT is a chatbot, a computer program in the form of a virtual robot that can make human-like conversations.The research method used is descriptive analysis. The sample in this study consists of 410 students from the University of North Sumatra, determined using stratified random sampling. The measurement tool used in this study is an attitude scale constructed from the cognitive, affective, and conative components according to Azwar (2022). The mean obtained from the descriptive analysis is 119.79 with a standard deviation of 11.052. The minimum subject score is 54 and the maximum subject score is 129. The research findings indicate that 268 (68%) students from the University of North Sumatra have a positive attitude towards ChatGPT. A total of 128 (31%) students have a negative attitude, and 14 (3%) students have a neutral attitude towards ChatGPT. | en_US |
