dc.description.abstractThis study aims to determine the effect of self-compassion level on emotion regulation strategies in Medan Class I prison inmates. This research method uses a quantitative method using a questionnaire and involves 301 inmates of Medan Class I Prison who are male prisoners. There are two measuring instruments used in this study, namely the self-compassion scale and the emotion regulation strategy scale. The data obtained and hypothesis testing were processed using JASP 0.18.1.0. Data processing consists of descriptive tests and logistic regression tests. The results showed that there was a level of self-compassion owned by the subject that influenced the selection of emotion regulation strategies of Class I Medan prison inmates (p = 0.000 <0.05).en_US
