    Abstract
Parents' socioeconomic status often affects a child's chances of benefiting from development and education. The quality of an education is usually influenced by the school climate. Despite experiencing the same event, each school resident tends to have a different perception of the school climate. This study was conducted to see the difference in perception of school climate between advantage and disadvantaged students in terms of socioeconomic status. The method used in this research is quantitative correlational with secondary data obtained from oecd.org site. The research sample is Indonesian students who are classified into the advantage (25% highest of ESCS Index) and disadvantage (25% lowest of ESCS Index) groups. The final results showed that there were differences in perception in the academic and community dimensions, while there were no differences in perceptions in the safety dimension. The T test of school climate resulted in a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.844, which means there is no difference in perception of school climate between advantage and disadvantage students.
