Overview of Community Resilience in The Community of Nelayan Sebrang Village, Medan Belawan
Abstract
Community resilience is an ability or capacity, a process, the result of adaptation to adversity, and recovery from adversity (Pfefferbaum et al., 2013). This research was conducted to find out how the description of community resilience in the Nelayan Sebrang Village community. Community resilience in this study looks at how the community's ability to bounce back in various phenomena that occur in Kampung Nelayan Sebrang starting from the fields of health, education, economy, as well as infrastructure and transportation. The method chosen for this research uses a descriptive quantitative approach involving 115 participants selected through accidental sampling. The data collection instrument used was the Community Advancing Resilience Toolkit Assessment Survey (CARTAS) B. Overall, the results of the Cronbach's Alpha coefficient reliability test conducted by Malau (2023) were 0.944 and all items had a corrected item total correlation value above 0.30. The results of the analysis conducted show that the community of Kampung Nelayan Sebrang is mostly in the moderate category, as many as 55 people with a percentage of 48%.
