dc.description.abstractThis research is a quantitative descriptive study that aims to determine the description of political trust in poor communities in Medan City. This study has a research subject of 100 participants. Sampling was done with non probability technique with incidental sampling method. The data obtained in this study were processed using descriptive analysis. The results showed that as many as 62 people (62%) participants had low political trust, and as many as 38 people (38%) participants had moderate political trust and 0% for high political trust. The test results show that political trust in poor communities in Medan City is in a category that tends to be low. There are five aspects that can measure political trust, namely, competence, benevolence, integrity, reliability, fairness. And there are four factors that influence political trust, namely, income policies, compatibility of government policies with the wishes of the community, policies that are fair and in accordance with procedures and competencies possessed by government officials.en_US
