    Abstract
    This research aims to determine whether excellent service plays an important role in an activity or process. The implementation of excellent service in a company, whether private or government agency, cannot be separated from activities to achieve goals. Therefore, in order to achieve these goals well and obtain optimal results, it is necessary to implement excellent service that is effective and efficient. Service is an assessment by users of an agency, including government agencies. Services at the Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency of the Medan Mayor's Office are activities that serve user who have problems and have interests. This research aims to find out how excellent service is provided by the Medan Mayor's Office BKPSDM. The results of the research and discussion can be seen that the role of excellent service at the Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency of the Medan Mayor's Office has been carried out optimally and also in service management it can be classified as good which has a big influence on customer satisfaction.
