Difference in Levels Of Bullying Among High School Students in Roots Program Schools and Schools Whitout Roots Program (From The Victim’s Perspective)
Abstract
This research is a comparative study aimed at examining the differences in bullying among high school students in schools with and without the Roots program (from the victim's perspective). A total of 301 student participants were involved in this study. Data analysis employed the Mann-Whitney test, revealing differences in bullying experiences between high school students in schools with and without the Roots program (from the victim's perspective). Students in schools without the Roots program were more frequently involved in bullying, categorizing them as high. Meanwhile, students in schools with the Roots program were categorized as low. Students in schools without the Roots program had the highest mean scores in physical and cyberbullying, while students in schools with the Roots program did not exhibit the highest mean scores in any specific form of bullying. Factors contributing to bullying in schools without the Roots program were influenced by school environment, peer relationships, and social media.
