The Influence of Perceived Organizational Virtuousness on Work Engagement with Perceived Organizational Support as a Moderator Variable Among Rescue Workers in Kota Medan
Abstract
The profession of a rescue worker comes with high risks and the potential for causing disengagement for their work. WE is deemed crucial for emergency response organizations. Previous research indicated that the POV has an impact on WE. Additionally, POS is also vital role to enhance WE. This study aimed to examine the influence of POV on WE, with POS as a moderating variable. A total of 151 rescue workers employed in emergency response organizations in Medan City were selected using purposive sampling. The statistical analysis method employed was used Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results indicate that POV has a positive and significant impact on WE. Furthermore, POS strengthen the relationship between POV and WE. The implications for the emergency response organization in Medan city to maintain and enhance WE of their members involve providing organizational support and reinforcing the organizational virtuousness possessed by the organization.
