Generally, the aim of human life is happiness. The happiness referred to here is
eudaimonic happiness as a form of psychological well-being. A person will have good
psychological well-being if they have good emotional intelligence. The purpose of this
study is to examine the influence of emotional intelligence on psychological wellbeing
(PWB) using coping strategy as a moderator variable. Based on the results of
data analysis using simple regression and moderation regression, it is shown that there
is an influence of emotional intelligence on psychological well-being but there is no
moderating role of coping strategy, both using problem-focused coping and emotionfocused
coping. Someone with good psychological well-being will be able to perceive
their own happiness without being preoccupied with external factors, thus increasing
job satisfaction and having better work quality.
