This study aims to determine the effect of the addition of water hyacinth flour (Eichhornia crassipes) fermented using EM4 on performance (ration consumption, body weight gain, ration conversion) in broiler chickens. The materials used were 100 DOC (Day Old Chick) reared for 5 weeks, and EM4 as fermentor. The treatments given were P0 = 100% basal feed, P1 = 97,5% basal feed + 2,5% fermented water hyacinth flour, P2 = 95% basal feed + 5% fermented water hyacinth flour, P3 = 92,5% basal feed + 7,5% fermented water hyacinth flour, P4 = 90% basal feed + 10% fermented water hyacinth flour. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 replicates. The results showed that ration consumption and body weight gain had no significant effect. While the ration conversion has a real difference. Based on the results of further tests on ration conversion (FCR), the efficient values are 3,39 (P2), 3,38 (P0), 3,39 (P1), 3,35 (P3), and 3,30 (P4). The level of addition of 10% fermented water hyacinth flour with FCR results of 3,30 is the most efficient FCR value.
