Persepsi Pemustaka Tentang Situs Web pada Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Pemerintah Kota Medan Menggunakan Metode Webuse

Abstract

This study aimed to discover library users' perceptions regarding the Library and Archives Office of the Medan City Government website, employing the WEBUSE method. This study is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The population in this study comprises registered members who have previously borrowed collections from the website, totaling 3066 individuals. The sample size of 100 participants was determined using the Slovin formula. The sampling technique was carried out using accidental random sampling. The results of this study indicated that library users' perceptions of the Library and Archives Office of the Medan City Government website using the WEBUSE method in terms of content indicators got a total score of 846, which was categorized as good. The organization indicator received a score of 536, categorized as good enough. The readability indicator got a total score of 815 and was included in the good enough category. In navigation indicators, a total score of 899 was obtained, which was categorized as good. The link indicator got a total score of 547 and was included in the good enough category. The User Interface Design indicator obtained a total score 991, included as the good enough category. The performance indicator gets a total score of 999, categorized as good enough. Effectiveness indicators get a total score of 683, included in the good enough category. Based on the results of this study, the library users' perception of the Library and Archives Office of the Medan City Government website using the WEBUSE method received a total score of 6286, which is categorized as good enough.
