Analisis Koleksi Berdasarkan Standar Nasional Perpustakaan Perguruan Tinggi Nomor 13 Tahun 2017 pada Perpustakaan Universitas HKBP Nommensen

Abstract

The study aimed to analyze the library collection of HKBP Nommensen University based on the National Standards for Higher Education Libraries Number 13 of 2017. This was descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research findings show that the analysis of the library collection of HKBP Nommensen University (UHN) based on the National Standards for Higher Education Libraries Number 13 of 2017 has 9 categories. 1) The types of collections in the UHN library have met the existing standards because the collections consist of printed and unprinted ones, such as fiction books, non-fiction books, and scientific writing of the academic community. 2) While the number of enrichment book collections and the number of popular scientific periodicals the UHN library subscribes to are not yet up to the standard, the number of mandatory book collections and the number of scientific journals the library subscribes to both fulfill the requirements. 3) Because new collections have not yet reached 3% of the entire existing collection, the collection development in the UHN library is not yet up to standard. 4) The UHN library's local content collection has met the standards. 5) The UHN library reference collection has not met standards because it only consists of dictionaries, encyclopedias, and atlases. 6) The UHN library materials have met the standards. 7) The UHN library's re-enumeration does not comply with existing standards because the activity has never been implemented. 8) The UHN library weeding has met the standards. 9) The preservation of collections in the UHN Library has met the existing standards. In conclusion, not all indicators have met the National Standard for Higher Education Libraries Number 13 of 2017.
