Sentence Analysis in The Story of The Tiger Child By Arizal Chik: Syntaxic Study
Abstract
The study aims to describe the analysis of sentences consisting of the sentence types and structure in the Tiger Child Story by Arizal Chik. The research is qualitative with descriptive methods and uses methods of library study in data perfection. The data in this research is a book Tiger Child Story and the source of the research data is a sentence. The stages of data analysis in this study are to collect data, read data sequence, analyze data in detail and provide classifications of the types of sentences and structure of the sentences used. The theory used in this research is the theory of grammatical order proposed by Hoccket, namely by the analysis of structure and order of sentences. The results of this study show that there are very dominant types of sentences in the Tiger Son's Story, namely, single sentences, complete sentences and command sentences. In addition, there is also a different structure of the sentence although in the same type of sentence there is an addition of the object structure (o). The sentences contained in the Tiger Son's Story are also adapted to the improved Indonesian spelling, the author uses sentences that are easily understood by the reader that are covered with jokes but still contain elements of advice. The researchers concluded that this story as an idea that gives trust and advice to readers is about loving mothers and loving one another brothers and sisters.
