dc.description.abstract | This study aims to analyze the language style and imagery contained in the book Syair Alam Melayu Nusantara compiled by Roslan Madun. This research uses a literature study method of data collection which is then connected with the reading and listening technique. The theory used in this research is stylistic theory which contains the concept of language style and imagery. The results of the analysis of language style and imagery contained in the Syair Nyanyian Anak are 65 uses of language style, consisting of 28 comparison language styles, 22 opposition language styles, 14 linking language styles, 1 repetition language style. Meanwhile, there are 41 uses of imagery consisting of 15 visual imagery, 6 auditory imagery, 18 motion imagery, 2 sensory imagery and no data found on olfactory imagery in Syair Nyanyian Anak. This syair text contains moral values conveyed using a song or prayer called akikah. The song or prayer contains a message from parents to their newborn child to respect both parents, obey parental advice, obey the obligation to study and worship, and repay parents. In addition, there are also values related to the combination of several understandings of Islamic and Hindu religious beliefs and beliefs in spirits and spirits that must be respected so as not to disturb humans. | en_US |
