Perancangan Sistem Pengidentifikasi Pola Sidik Jari Menggunakan Matlab dengan Metode Minutiae Based Matching
Abstract
Along with the times, the development of technology is also increasing. So many conveniences are offered with the sophistication of technology that occurs to help human life. One example of technological development that is now widely found is the ease of identifying people using biometrics methods. Biometrics is a method of recognizing a person’s identity based on human physical characteristics such as face, fingerprints, palm structure, eye retina location, and voice. This verification is much more reliable than conventional methods because in addition to being easy to process, it is always carried by the human. A commonly used biometric identification today is fingerprint recognition. In the fingerprint recognition process there is a process known as Fingerprint matching which is a verification process so that a fingerprint can be recognized. Many methods can be used to perform the matching process, one of which is the minutiae method. Therefore, a fingerprint pattern identify system is needed by utilizing minutiae points as a comparison material for existing fingerprint patterns and test fingerprints. Fingerprint patern recognition in this study goes through various processes, starting from binarization, thining, finding minutiae points, then matching. Research results produced a fingerprint pattern identifier system using matlab with minutiae based matching method.
