dc.description.abstract | This study aimed to evaluate the alignment of the library management at MAN 1 Simalungun with the National Library Standards (SNP) 12:2017. Employing a descriptive qualitative research method, the informants for this investigation consisted of the school principal and library staff. The selection of informants followed a purposive sampling approach involving three individuals, including one principal, one library head, and one school library officer. The data collection methods encompassed observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The data analysis technique employed involved data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing, and verification to scrutinise pertinent and substantive data. The findings indicate that the MAN 1 Simalungun library falls short of full compliance with SNP 12:2017, particularly in aspects related to collections, infrastructure, services, and the adequacy of library staff. Primary obstacles include a shortage of competent human resources in library management, limited promotion of library services, and a less-than-optimal location. The overall conformity rate was determined to be 60.61%, while the non-conformity rate stood at 39.39%. | en_US |
