The novel 5 CM by Donny Dhirgantoro is a literary work that can be studied using a literary ecology approach. The novel 5 CM by Donny Dhirgantoro tells the story of the journey to Mahameru Peak. The characters in this novel show a good attitude in protecting the environment, one of whom is Arial, who obeys the rules. The aim of this research is to reveal the environmental ethics contained in the novel 5 CM by Donny Dhirgantoro. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The data collection technique in this research uses library techniques, listen and take notes. The data analysis technique in this research uses content analysis techniques. The literary ecological approach used is from A. Sonny Keraf, namely the principles of environmental ethics. The results of this research produced nine forms of environmental ethics, namely, first, an attitude of respect for nature, namely a human attitude that respects nature. The two principles of responsibility are principles that require humans to take part in protecting nature and be responsible for the damage that has been done. The third is cosmic solidarity, namely feeling what nature feels because nature and humans are equal. The fourth principle of compassion and concern for nature is loving nature because humans will develop into better humans by caring for nature. The fifth principle is not harming nature, namely not destroying nature. The sixth principle of living simply and in harmony with nature is that humans are prohibited from being greedy and should let nature grow naturally. The seventh principle of justice is that humans must behave towards one another in order to have a positive impact on nature conservation. The eight principles of democracy are treating nature and its contents equally. The nine principles of moral integrity are principles that require public officials to be moral.
