Abstract

This research aims to determine the form and meaning of speech acts found in PASAR KAMU (Youth Work Breakfast Week) Denai Lama Village, Pantai Labu District. This research uses pragmatic studies. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method. With observation data collection methods and documentation methods. Data is listened to using recording tools and notes. The results obtained from this research were that forms of speech acts were found in the dialogue between traders and buyers at PASAR KAMU, including 34 conversations. After being explained, there are 5 locutionary speech acts, 5 illocutionary speech acts, and 5 perlocutionary speech acts. The meaning of speech in the dialogue between traders and buyers at PASAR KAMU. This research focuses on the meaning of connotation and meaning of denotation, the meaning of connotation there are 5 utterances and the meaning of denotation there are 5 utterances.
