dc.description.abstract | This study discusses the semiotics contained in the lyrics of the song بالقرآن
سأمضي /Bil-Qur'āni Saʾamḍī/ sung by Ai Khodijah. The aim of this research is to determine the indirectness of expression caused by three things, namely (1) displacing of meaning, (2) distorting of meaning), and (3) creating of meaning.. This research is library research and uses the listening method with note-taking techniques. The theory used in this research is the semiotic theory initiated by Riffaterre. The results of this research are (1) displacement of meaning caused by metaphor found in stanza 1 about comparative figures of speech, personification found in stanza 4 about comparing humans and inanimate objects, synecdoche found in stanza 3 about conveying a part that is considered characteristic, and metonymy is found in stanza 1 about replacing names. (2) distortion of meaning caused by ambiguity is found in stanzas 5 and 10 about something that can be interpreted more than one way, contradiction is found in stanza 6 about contradiction or resistance, while nonsense is not found. (3) creation of meaning due to enjambment found in stanza 3, continuity of content in the lyrics, rhyme found in stanzas 3-4 regarding the similarity of sound between syllables at the end, typography found in stanza 1 -4 regarding the composition of the writing, while the homologue was not found. The lyrics of the song Bil-Qur'āni Saʾamḍī contain a deep message, when a servant looks for a way out in dealing with various problems and his helper is the Koran. The Qur'an is a source of light and guidance, as well as a faithful guide in living life | en_US |
