dc.description.abstractThis research aims to analyze rate of iron, cadmium, and chromium in whitening cream that distributed in Simpang Limun Market, Medan. Sampel preparation in this resarch using wet digestion method.with HNO3 65% : HCl 37% by comparison 1:3. Iron, cadmium and chromium analyzed using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS). The result of this study showed that all sampel contain iron with the lowest concentration is 15,375 mg/kg and the highest one is 28,900 mg/kg, cadmium found in all samples with conentration 0,150-1,175 mg/kg, and chromium also found in all samples with concentration 1,575-4,750 mg/kg. Based on the regulation that set by the Head of BPOM RI No.12 in 2019, contamination of cadmium and chromium in all sample still qualify the regulation wich contamination limit for cadmium and chromium are 5 mg/kg per each, while the regulation about contamination for iron has not been set up yet.en_US
