Kritik Sastra Feminis dalam Film عاصفة رملية /’āṣifah ramliyah/ ‘Badai Pasir’ Penulis Naskah Elite Zexer

Abstract

The problem in this research is to discuss the forms of gender inequality contained in the film عاصفة رملية /’āṣifah ramliyah/ ‘sand storm’ scripwriter Elite Zexer by using the theory of gender inequality in the study of feminist literary criticsm proposed by Rokhmansyah. This research is a literature review. The data collection technique is done using the observing method and note taking technique. The data analysis method uses descriptive analysis. The primary data in this research is the film عاصفة رملية /’āṣifah ramliyah/ ‘sand storm’ by scriptwriter and director Elite Zexer which was released in 2016 with a film duration of 1 hour 28 minutes 12 seconds. The results of this research are 12 data that indicate the existence of forms of gender inequality contained in this film, namely 1 scene and dialogue in minutes 11:23 - 11:47 indicating subordination, 8 scenes and dialogue in minutes 2:04-3:13 , 18:55-22:05, 43:04-43:56, 57:19-59:35, 1:02:05-1:03:41, 1:06:15-1:08:02, 1 :08:07-1:08:24, and 1:20:20-1:21:05 indicates violence, and 3 scenes in minutes 22:15 – 23:24, 32:47 – 33:35, and 35:02 – 35:30 indicates workload. The conclusion of this research is to show the consequences of gender inequality that cause women to be victimized in their daily lives.
