Analisis Pesan Moral dalam Buku Cerpen الأرواح المتمردة /Al-ArwāḤ Al-Mutamarridah / Jiwa-Jiwa Pemberontak Karya Kahlil Gibran

Abstract

This research discusses the moral messages in the short story book الأرواح المتمردة /Al-Arwāḥ Al-Mutamarridah/Jiwa-Jiwa Pemberontak by Kahlil Gibran. The objectives of this research are to (1) identify the moral messages present in the short story خليل الكافر /khalil al-kafir/Khalil the Infidel by Kahlil Gibran, (2) determine the dominant moral messages using Nurgiyantoro's theory (2019). This study is a literature review (library research) using descriptive analysis method and processed to draw conclusions. Data is collected using reading and note-taking techniques. The data sources of this research are the narration and dialogues of the characters in the short story خليل الكافر /khalil al-kafir/Khalil the Infidel by Kahlil Gibran. The findings of this research resulted in 14 moral messages, consisting of 5 virtues, 4 manners, and 5 ethics. It can be concluded that the characters in this short story exhibit attitudes that reflect good and commendable virtues and manners.
