This study examines how the Lorong Papan Village Fisherman community socially constructs and parents their children's education. Parents' perception of education is a long-standing concept that is passed down through generations and influences how they approach their children's formal education, considering the social and cultural aspects of society. Good parenting habits follow the presence of social construction. Parents from fishing families in Lorong Papan Village hold a negative view towards education, deeming it unimportant. The community generally believes that the government should take responsibility for improving education. The research was qualitatively done via interactive data analysis, involving reduction, presentation, conclusion making, and verification. The research findings indicate that fishing families in Lorong Papan Village have a poor societal perception of education, viewing it as non-essential. Fishing families typically employ authoritarian and lenient parenting styles. This condition arises from constrained financial circumstances and a lack of educational opportunities.en_US
