Analysis of The Effect of Welfare Programs on Employee Morale at The Central Bureau of Statistics Medan Office
Abstract
In the competitive business world, having a clear vision, mission, and goals is crucial to a company's success. These elements not only provide direction but also help maximize the company's potential. Human resources, as one of the company's key assets, have a significant impact on overall performance. Therefore, it is essential for companies to utilize human resources efficiently.
This study aims to analyze employee perceptions of welfare programs and their impact on employee morale at the Medan Central Bureau of Statistics office. Additionally, the study aims to investigate the influence of employee welfare programs on employee morale at the same office.
Quantitative research was employed in this study. The sample consisted of 41 employees from the Medan Central Bureau of Statistics Office, selected through non-probability saturated sampling, which represents the total population. Primary data was collected through direct distribution of questionnaires, while secondary data was obtained through literature review. The analysis method used is validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, simple linear regression, partial test, and determination test and processed through SPSS Version 26 software.
The study results suggest that people's welfare has a positive impact on morale. The statistical analysis showed a significant effect with a t-count value of
25.471 and a sig value of 0.000 < 0.05. The regression coefficient value was -1.161, and the correlation coefficient (R) value was 0.971. The correlation between the Employee Welfare (X1) variable and Morale (Y) is 97.1%, indicating a very close relationship with a level of influence of 94.2%. The remaining 5.8% is influenced by factors outside the scope of this study.
