This research was motivated by the existence of a gender gap regarding female farmers in Parsingguran II village in the agricultural business of PT. IndoFood Fortuna Makmur. Parsingguran Village is a village with a majority of Toba Batak ethnic groups and a patriarchal system that still exists. The perception of differences between men and women is seen as values and norms in the roles and status of men and women in PT agriculture. IndoFood. However, for the people of Parsingguran Village, gender differences and patriarchy are no longer prominent in the community's social life. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method. Data was collected using observation techniques, in-depth interviews and documentation. There were 10 informants in this study with the criteria being female farmers who worked at PT. IndoFood Parsingguran Village. This research uses socialist feminist theory which believes that oppression of women originates from capitalism and patriarchy. Based on research conducted, it appears that there is salary discrimination between male and female workers as a result of stereotypes against women. Even though they do the same work with the same hours, the wages received by female agricultural workers are lower than male workers. The salary difference is IDR 60,000/week, where men receive a salary of IDR 540,000/week and women only receive a salary of IDR 480,000/week. This is caused by differences in the types of work between men and women. Women are considered to do light work, while men are considered to do work that requires skill, physical strength and higher risk. The view that women are physically weak and unproductive also has an impact on the low wages they receive. This research concludes that gender issues regarding female farmers in the farming activities of PT IndoFood Fortuna Makmur Parsingguran Village are influenced by the type of work, gender views and patriarchal culture that is perpetuated by PT IndoFood towards female farmers. However, this does not become an obstacle for women farmers to continue working because women farmers do not feel burdened by these gender differences and views.en_US
