| dc.description.abstract | Participation in development is community participation in a development process. The opportunities for men and women to contribute to village development are currently equal. Women's participation is very much needed among the public, especially in village development planning. However, the problem was found that in village development planning women's participation was minimal and very little activity was found. Therefore, efforts are needed to raise public awareness, especially women, to actively participate in village planning.
The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The informants in this research consisted of the Village Head, BPD Chair, LPM Chair, PKK Chair, PKK Members and Communities who were active in village development planning and Communities who were not active in village development planning. Data collection techniques used were interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. This research uses the Components of Women's Participation Theory according to Caroline O. N Mosser (1993), namely Access, Decision Making and Control.
The results of the research show that women's participation in development planning in Saitnihuta Village, Doloksanggul District, Humbang Hasundutan Regency is still minimal and less active. From the Access component, women's decision making and control in village development planning is still minimal and they do not play an active role. The presence of components of access, decision making and control should create opportunities for women to participate in development planning, especially Musrenbang in Saitnihuta village, to be more active and contribute equally to men's participation in Saitnihuta village. | en_US |
