A Description of Equality in Hernest Hemingway's Short Story Indian Champ
Abstract
This paper discusses two important issues. One is the theme or the subject matter of the story that is equality. This equality is meant to humanize human far away from discrimination between Indian as ye11ow skin to the whites. Yet, cooperative manner to reduce this is cooperative manner in terms of tolerance and cultural awareness. The theory applied in this paper is cultural understanding. Its method is qualitative in the sense of describing data taken from the text oflndian Camp. It is important to honor man without degrading. Man is created equal in order to appreciate the differences both individually and socially.
