dc.description.abstract | This research discusses about literary reception of the poetry al-i'tirāf by Abu Nawas (a case study of undergraduate students of Arabic Literature at the University of North Sumatera class of 2019). Approach used qualitative. The theories used the sociology of literature, literary reception, and structural. The results of this study are four intrinsic elements (al-'anāṣir al-dakhiliyyah) in the al-i'tirāf by Abu Nawas, namely (a) feeling ('āṭifah), (b) imagination (khayāl), (c ) idea (fikrah), and (d) form (ṣura). The feeling ('āṭifah) in al-i'tirāf' according to 11 students are sad, two students are regret, one student is contemplating, and one student is low self-esteem. Imagination (khayāl) in al-i'tirāf according to 8 students are association imagination (khayāl ta'lifi) and interpretation imagination (khayāl bayani), 3 students are association imagination (khayāl ta'lifi) only, 3 students are interpretation imagination (khayāl bayani) only, and 1 student is creative imagination (khayāl ibtikari) and interpretation imagination (khayāl bayani). The idea (fikrah) of al-i'tirāf according to 10 students are forgiveness and repentance, 1 student is humility, 2 students are regret, 2 students are confession of sin. According to 15 students, the form (ṣura) of al-i'tirāf is easier to understand than other Arabic poetries because it uses common words and those are often used in everyday, such as /taubatan/, /firdausi/,/ilahī. | en_US |
