dc.description.abstract | Inpatient services are one type of health service provided by the Dr. Regional General Hospital. Pirngadi, Medan City, but in its implementation there are still several problems encountered in inpatient rooms, such as handling complaints taking relatively long time, the attitude of employees seeming stiff and unfriendly, some facilities are inadequate and cleanliness and maintenance still need to be improved. This research aims to (1) determine whether or not there is an influence between employee professionalism and the quality of inpatient services at the Dr. Regional General Hospital. Pirngadi Medan City and; (2) Find out how much influence employee professionalism has on the quality of inpatient services at the Dr. Regional General Hospital. Pirngadi, Medan City.
This type of research is causal associative with a quantitative approach. Data collection instruments used observation and questionnaires distributed to respondents. The population used in this study were all patients who were still being treated in the inpatient unit at Dr. Regional General Hospital. Pirngadi, Medan City. The sampling method used accidental sampling, and the number of samples obtained was 50 inpatients as respondents. Test the validity of the data using Pearson Product Moment Correlation and test reliability using Cronbach Alpha. From the results of SPSS statistical calculations, all statements are said to be valid and reliable. The data analysis technique in this research uses simple linear regression and hypothesis testing (t test).
The results of the research analysis show that there is a positive and significant influence on employee professionalism on the quality of inpatient services as indicated by the t-count > t-table = 9.478 > 2.01174, significance value <0.05 = 0.000 < 0.05 and has a positive value with the regression coefficient (b) having a positive sign, namely 0.907, which means the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. Then the coefficient of determination R^2 is 0.652 or 65.2%, which shows that employee professionalism makes a positive contribution to improving the quality of inpatient services at the Dr. Regional General Hospital. Pirngadi, Medan City, and the remaining 34.8% is influenced by other variables outside this research. Based on these results, it can be seen that the higher the professionalism of the inpatient installation employees, the higher the quality of service provided to patients will be. | en_US |
