dc.description.abstract | This research aims to reveal and analyze the use of presuppositions in the context of novels as a form of pragmatic study. This research focuses on the study of pragmatics in the context of language as a communication tool. This study used descriptive quali-tative method. The data collection method in this research uses reading techniques, transcription of data sources, and note-taking techniques with data analysis using content analysis techniques. The data source used in this research is the novel Anak Mat Lela Gila by Ishak Haji Muhammad. The data used are sentences, clauses, phrases, words and quotations. The results of this research identify the existence of factual presuppositions and non-factual presuppositions in the novel Anak Mat Lela Gila by Ishak Haji Muhammad. | en_US |
